Dexter returned home from school, sad, depressed and exhausted. He was in a real state. With a great deal of effort, he walked into the living room, heaving his backpack, which was about his body weight. It was surprising he had not toppled over. He dumped the bag next to the sofa, which his dad was sitting on, watching the football game. Dad towered high over Dexter, a giant compared to him. He hung his head, and walked past his dad, climbing onto the sofa, and settling, sitting by his Dad’s side.
